SAN SHOU/sanda - Chinese Kick-Boxing

Classes for Adults and for Children  from age 6

Sanshou (literally "free hand") or Sanda (literally "free fighting")  is a Chinese hand-to-hand self-defence system and combat sport. Sanshou is a martial art which was originally developed by the Chinese military, based upon the intense study and practices of traditional Kung Fu and modern combat fighting techniques; it combines full-contact kick-boxing, which include punches and kicks, wrestling, take-downs, throws, sweeps, kick catches, and in some competitions, even elbow and knee strikes.

It has all the combat aspects of Wushu. Sanda appears much like Kick-boxing, but includes many more grappling techniques. Sanda fighting competitions are often held alongside taolu or form competitions.

Adult classes are suitacle for both man and woman.

Youth SanShou classes are for both boys and girls from the age of 6
